He was a farmer; res. in Newington. He was much respected and beloved by all who knew him. He owned the covenant in Newington, 9 Jan. 1778. He served in the Revolutionary War; was First Lieut. on the Lexington Alarm in Capt. John Chester's Co., Apr. to May 1775, six days service; Capt. in the Sixth Connecticut Reg., 1777.
