He d. 27 May 1795 in Newington, Conn.; she d. there 19 Apr. 1829.
He was graduated from Yale College in the class of 1775. He was a revolutionary soldier; served through the war: 2nd Lieut. of Webb’s Additional Continental Reg., 1 Jan. 1777; 1st Lieut., 16 May 1778, Capt., 8 Apr. 1780; transferred to 3rd Conn., 1 Jan. 1781; wounded at Yorktown, 14 Oct. 1781; retained in Swift’s Conn. Reg., June 1783, and served to Nov. 1783. He was frequently chosen a member of the Legislature; was a farmer and merchant; resided in Newington; was a member of the Society of the Cincinnati.
