"JOSEPH KELLOGG" <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c>

JOSEPH KELLOGG {60} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c>, son of John {25} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d>, b. in Hadley, Mass., 6 Nov. 1685; m. 15 Mar. 1711, Abigail Smith, b. 10 Oct. 1692; dau. of Ebenezer Smith, b. 11 July 1668, and Abigail Broughton. He was a weaver; res. in South Hadley; she d. 28 Jan. 1789 in Hadley. In 1788, several years after his death, his son, John, was appointed administrator of his estate.

Children (born in South Hadley):

ABIGAIL {240} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8a>, b. 8 Dec. 1711; prob. d. young or never existed; there are no records of her birth, marriage or death. She is not the Abigail Kellogg that m. Col. Charles Burrall as stated by Hopkins and carried over to several trees on Ancestry. Hopkins actually has another Abigail marrying Burrall, who is more plausible: < href="../../g6g/g7g/g8d/8d.html">Abigail Kellogg {371} %lt;1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6g.7g.8d>, dau. of Deacon Benjamin, is most likely Mrs. Burrall.

SARAH {241} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8b>, b. 8 Jan. 1714; m. 1737 prob. in Hadley, Joseph Moody, b. 13 Jan. 1712 in Hadley, son of Ebenezer Moody and Editha ---; he d. 14 Sep. 1803 in South Hadley; she d. there 22 June 1782.

RUTH {243} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8d>, b. 18 Jan. 1717; m. 21 Dec. 1739, Benjamin Church, b. 26 Dec. 1709, son of Capt. Benjamin Church and Miriam Hovey; he d. 7 Aug. 1783 in South Hadley; she d. 20 May 1784 in Hadley.

MARTHA {244} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8e>, b. 21 May 1720; m. Nathaniel Ingram.

ESTHER {245} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8f>, b. 19 Sept. 1722; prob. d. young. Even this birthdate, asserted by Hopkins, cannot be verified.

JOSEPH {246} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8g>, b. 24 Dec. 1724; m. 27 Dec. 1754 in South Hadley, Dorothy Taylor, b. 20 AUG 1737 in South Hadley, dau. of Joseph Taylor and Dorothy Sarah Rooker; she d. 26 Aug. 1803 in South Hadley; he d. there 14 Oct. 1810; had four children.

JOHN {247} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8h>, b. 13 Oct. 1727. Other than a vague reference to him having a son Joseph, there is no evidence of John's birth, marriage or death

RACHEL {248} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8i>, b. 15 Sept. 1730; m. (int. in West Springfield, Mass. 28 Mar. 1759) Ebenezer Morgan, Jr., b. 24 Apr. 1734 in West Springfield, son of Ebenezer Morgan and Abigail Ashley; she d. 6 Sep. 1778 in West Springfield; he d. 6 Sep. 1779 in South Hadley; had two Children.

JABEZ {249} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8j>, b. 11 Feb. 1734; m. Abigail Catlin.

EUNICE SILENCE {250} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8k>, b. 4 Dec. 1736. (Intentions of marriage were entered in Springfield, 24 Sept. 1776, between Charles Chapin, b. 24 Sept. 1742, and Silence Kellogg of South Hadley.) There being no record of any Silence Kellogg in South Hadley at this time, it is possible that there was an error in the name, either in the intention of marriage or the record of birth.
