He is a farmer and inventor with several U. S. patents; invented the first hand corn planter, also the pruning shears that are now sold in all hardware stores, and the mowing machine knife grinder, that grinds the knives without removing them from the cutter bar; res. in East Carmel, Oh.; is a Disciple and a Democrat.
