She d. 20 June 1940 in Eldora, Ia.; he m. (2) Mary Alice ---, b. ca. 1884 in N. D., as suggested by the 1950 Census and his death certificate; he d. 27 Dec. 1959 in Tucson, Ariz.; his obituary mentioned two children, Mrs. Harriett (Cook) Duff, as below, and Mrs. Marjorie Hamer of Bangkok, Thailand, who never appears in a census (up to 1950), possibly a child of his second wife.

She was graduated from Ellsworth College, Iowa Falls, 1888; taught school in Providence, Ia. He was a farmer; res. in New Providence, Ia. and Boulder, Colo. in 1920; returned to Ia.; rem. to Tucson, Ariz. full time in 1956, after wintering there for ten yrs.
