He worked for a confectionary firm and as an elevator worker; a Presbyterian and a Republican; served as a private in Co. C, Sixtieth Ohio Reg., in the Civil War; enlisted 19 Nov. 1861; was discharged 10 Nov. 1862; res. in Albert Lea, Minn.
