He d. 24 Oct. 1929, in Brooklyn, N. Y; she d. 10 Oct. 1926.
He was a hotel proprietor, erecting the Windsor Hotel in Elizabethtown; a Republican; res. in Elizabethtown. He was the last surviving member of the honor guard which kept watch over the coffin of John Brown, the abolitionist. During the Civil War, he was stationed at Washington where he was head of the muster roll department in the Paymaster General's office. Later he was superintendent of the folding rooms in the House of Representatives and subsequently served for 11 years as executive clerk in the State Senate at Albany.
