He was a carriage maker, a farmer, a merchant and a Justice of the Peace; res. in Rollman, Watertown, Rutland, Solon, Taylor and Cincinnatus, N. Y.

Known widely among the Democrats of this state, Mr. Kellogg was a prominent figure in the life of Cortland and Cortland County. He practiced law until 1930. Also known as breeder of Holstein-Friesians, his herds winning many state and national prizes and was director and one-time president of the National Holstein-Friesian association, and also involved in light harness racing of thoroughbreds; he d. unm. 10 Feb. 1935.
