H., 26 Nov. 1796; m. abt. 1713, Alpheus Taylor, b. 27 Aug., 1782, son of Hollis Taylor, b. 11 Feb. 1758, and Christian Field, b. 20 May 1761; according to Hopkins, 1) this was his third marriage, with Lydia Bridges (no children) prob. one of his previous wives, and 2) he d. 1 Mar. 1756 in Brattleboro, Vt.;, but no evidence can be found; Louisa d. 31 Aug. 1856 in Brattleboro; had no children. However, there probably are two Alpheus Taylors in Vermont at about the same time; the second was prob. b. Aug. 1787 and d. 1 Mar. 1882 in Brattleboro, and m. Mary (Polly) Kelsey (1793-1864), with whom he had nine children. Also, there is another possible d. date for Alpheus of 13 Mar. 1875 in West Salisbury. Lastly, C. Betsy Griswold m. Gurdon Taylor (1790-1860) from Conn., not Alpheus.
