ELI KELLOGG {761} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8g.9a>, son of Joseph {246} <1.2b.3a.4f.5c.6d.7c.8g>, b. in South Hadley, Mass., 24 Dec. 1724; m. in South Hadley, Mass., 21 Oct. 1782, Tryphena Smith, bap. 6 Sept. 1760, dau. of Capt. Elisha Smith and Eunice Grant.

He d. about 1805, prob. in South Hadley; administration was granted on his estate, 5 Feb., in that year; she survived him; he res. in South Hadley; was a revolutionary soldier, served as a Private with the northern army in Lieut. Judd's Co.; Col. Porter's Reg., 8 July to 12 Aug. 1777; Private in Capt. Lamb's Co., Col. Nathaniel Wade's Reg., enlisted 15 Sept. 1779, served three months and twenty-seven days.

Other than above, no reliable death information can be found concerning Eli, nor any information about Tryphina after her marriage to Eli. Since the youngest child, Matthew Valentine, had a gaurdian in 1810, she may have d. prior to 1810.

John Sikes and Sarah Montague; he d. 2 Jan. 1864 in Belchertown; she d. there 16 Feb. 1867; had eight children.
